Setting up Outlook Express for MacintoshOutlook Express is a popular POP email software from Microsoft which is available on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. This tutorial shows you how to configure Macintosh Outlook Express 6 to retrieve mail from your Sidetrips email account. Start your Outlook Express 6 software. Click Tools and select Accounts.
On the Accounts page, click New to start the Account Setup Assistant.
On the Your Name page, enter the email senders name as the Display name and click the right arrow to continue.
On the Internet E-mail Address page, select I already have an e-mail address that Id like to use. and click the right arrow to continue.
On the E-mail Server Names page, select POP as your incoming server type and enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers and then click the right arrow to continue.
On the Internet Mail Logon page, enter userID%yourdomain.com as your Account ID and your email account password and then click the right arrow to continue. (Note: the "%" character used in the Logon User Name is NOT a typo)
On the Congratulations page enter a name for this email account profile within Outlook Express and click Finish.
Your Email Accounts window will now display the account that was just created.
